Sonia Jain, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a background in exercise psychology, mindfulness and nutrition. I am currently practicing in NYC (pending NJ) with 4+ years of clinical experience.

My practice combines evidence-based modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT as well as mindfulness and somatic movement techniques to support clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. I deeply believe that healing requires grounding and connecting both the mind and body. I aim to integrate movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices within treatment to help clients feel safe in their bodies especially when processing traumatic memories and big emotions.

With extensive training and experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities, I hope to meet each individual where they are at, regardless of where they are on their healing journey. I am committed to providing culturally responsive and affirming care. My work is informed by my own experiences as a second generation Asian American and Queer woman and my understanding of how cultural identity, intergenerational patterns, and systemic factors shape our mental health.
